About Me

I am a retired elementary, secondary school and community college teacher with over thirty years of innovative teaching experience and compassionate classroom care. I have worked with a wide range of students' celebrating their inherent strengths and supporting their needs to address personal and academic challenges and establish positive and attainable goals. A person who knows they are valued, supported and respected can get through the tough stuff with less of a burden to bear. That's how I taught and that's how I relate to kids in therapy.

I am a registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying (#8656) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a professional art therapist with an active membership with the Canadian Association of Art Therapists. I am also a play therapy intern through the Canadian Association of Play Therapy.

I am a life long learner, kind, compassionate and empathic. I am vertically challenged and kids of all ages love the fact that they can look me in the eye or better yet tower over an adult. I use humour, where appropriate, which helps to break the ice or creates a much needed break from the hard work that we sometimes have to tackle. I am passionate about my work and life and here to assist your child with their journey.
